Cedars Lounge - Parksville

No seniors menu and not too happy to provide a 1/2 order without letting us know it was a big deal to accommodate. The Eggs Benny we ordered was the worst Eggs Benny I've ever had...I've sat out on their deck a number of times and quite enjoyed the food and service there. Perhaps they're a better lunch supper, restaurant. Certainly wouldn't recommend it for breakfast.

Discrimination?Okay, weird review because I think they made us go into the lounge because we have a guide dog.The greeter said the restaurant was full, but I observed it was not. Upon leaving, I looked again and it still was not. When they said it was full I thought they were referring to reservations.I felt terrible.Food good, excellent waitress.Wheelchair accessibility: Not friendly for guide dogs.

Went to meet Friends I've not seen in 2 months.We all went to see Sandy.....she's a great host for a fun evening.They had something to eat I didn't this I didn't rate the food.Will go back again

Took mom here for Mother 's Day brunch. Had made a reservation months in advance, as last year they were sold out. So we arrive, and instead of seating us in the restaurant by a window, they try to get us to sit in the overflow seating which is dark and dingy. We ask to be seated in a nicer location, which they do, and the restaurant is almost empty. Why they would seat two people with reservations for a special brunch in the most unappealing area of the restaurant is still a mystery. We both ordered the salmon wellington. It arrived with the salmon tough and dry inside a wet uncooked wrap of pastry. Had to send them back and ordered something new. Received what they called a fritata, which was a serving of flavourless scrambled egg in a small cast iron pan, no larger than a serving you 'd get in a breakfast sandwich, along side a small bowl of mixed greens that had no dressing. Perhaps the kitchen exacting revenge for sending back the poorly prepared food. For the price tag the meals were a rip off. I did complain, and they didn 't charge us for the meals, but it was never about the money, and always about giving mom a happy Mother 's Day experience. We had been looking forward to this for a long time, and they ruined our experience. Wouldn 't dine here again. Only thing that is somewhat okay is their half price appy hour. At least then you get your money 's worth.

Father's day, I expected one experience and received a totally different one! The restaurant was busy but not overly, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The food was done to request and the we were all pleasantly surprised that the price was not as high as one might think. Thank you!
