Cedars Lounge - Parksville

My gf and I came to Parksville for a summer vacation and chose to stay at a nearby resort. We were seated not long after walking in, at around 10 am for their brunch; however, the table that was first given to us had a lot of food scraps and garbage on the floor, with flies flying around there too. We told our hostess about the food scraps and she thanked us for letting her know, and placed us at another table nearby.Our server immediately took our drinks order, which was great. The drinks came not long after, but then we were ignored for an hour. I understand that they may have been busy, but our server kept walking past us and did not acknowledge us further. At around 11, he swung by and took our order, then left. Food came out not long after and it was pretty good, but the food scraps on the floor at the other table was still there and it didn’t seem like it was going to get cleaned any time soon.Overall, the food was great and service was pretty good too, but the dirtiness was a turn off at a supposed high-tier restaurant for the area.

My family and I enjoyed brunch at Cedars Restaurant Lounge over the long weekend and it was the tastiest brunch we had on the island! They are super accommodating with dietary restrictions and were kind enough to give us alternatives for dairy and meat choices so we could enjoy the menu! I do recommend making reservations as it tends to be quite busy, although we had a reservation at 10:30 AM we did not get our food until 11:40 AM due to the rush.

We went to Cedar’s Restaurant for a late lunch for the first time yesterday. Overall the dining experience was good, and the waitress was extremely friendly and responsive, and the prices were not too high. However given the resort setting and the reviews I had read online, I thought the meal might be a little bit better. From the reviews I had read I was expecting to have an outstanding meal.

We took our daughter and her family out for her birthday dinner there. Going out with little twins and a young child can be overwhelming but the staff were incredible with all of us. The service was fantastic and all of the meals were great- very flavorful and very reasonably priced. This restaurant is great for both fine dining and for families. Will recommend it to others for sure!

Food was absolutely horrible. The Caesar salad was bland, the Gemalli pasta was super salty and undercooked and the prawns were RAW. The turkey club was inedible as there was a NASTY bright pink “cranberry mayo” slathered over the non-toasted bun, over the dry turkey and over the bland bacon. Even the fries were nasty- unsalted, flavourless and chalky. The only good thing about the meal were the belinni and beer.
