Írjon visszajelzéstWhile was food was good the customer service was very bad which will likely be why I don't return. It was a bit off putting to be ignored while patiently waiting to order and not being acknowledged for some time. It was my first time here and I noticed a sign that said to ask about the current special flavor shake but the associate was sooooo annoyed that I asked, it was bizarre. I ordered the BBQ burger, onion rings, fries, and a shake. The fries taste almost identical to in n out fries! So if you like that then you'll really enjoy this spot. I really enjoyed the burger, I just wish it had a more generous amount of sauce. The strawberry shake was a bit of a disappointment too because it didn't even taste like there was much strawberry. I think they use vanilla ice cream as the base with a small splash of strawberry syrup.
We came here tonight on a spur of the moment trip after some Black Friday shopping. Honestly, the customer service was so bad that we should have walked out. The lady at the register was barely able to engage in a simple greeting before we ordered and the overall vibe and attitude from the staff present seemed like they were completely over their shift. And I get it, this is a highly populated area and it was probably a long day with people coming and going in between shopping but a little enthusiasm would have been totally fine compared to the disengagement coming off the staff working. Overall, the impression I got was that they just wanted to hang out with each other instead of interact with customers. As for the food, we ordered the 1947 burger, spicy chicken strips, hot dog and some fries with the house made lemonade. The food was fair could have been better for the price of everything as the meal came out to about $45. The hot dog was average but had a nice grill on it, the fries and chicken strips were surprisingly great, and the lemonade was a nice, tart compliment to the food. The 1947 burger, however, was greasy to the point of falling apart and the meat had a slight aftertaste to it. Overall, it was disappointing compared to how good the chicken strips, lemonade, and fries were. I would say come to this place earlier in the day if you're looking to eat inside/experience better customer service and stick with the strips, fries and lemonade.
What a way to treat myself to a nice moment in Pasadena. Soaking up the vibe with a tasty specialty burger at Jake's. Priscilla, the waitress, guided me toward great food options and the pineapple soda was the perfect compliment. Very nice!
I had really high expectations for this place based on the reviews and pictures however, I'm disappointed. I love a great old school burger joint. Got the classic 1947 burger and it's overly salty, but at least it's juicy and not dry. Also ordered a side of onion rings and only received 4, like WTF? The burger is $10.75 plus tax, plus an extra $2 for the avocado I added, and another $0.65 for extra sauce on the burger. The onion rings are $5.95 plus tax. Overall spent $20+ for a mediocre meal. Not really planning on returning anytime soon.
Can 't go wrong with the Classic burger or Sliders! We just wanted a quick eat and stumbled on this place on our walk. It 's a very small standalone shop but has a good amount of seats inside and outside. -Classic burger: 10/10, bf approved for taste and size!-sliders: 10/10, I loved the buttered buns, grilled onions, and Jake sauce with it. It was a perfect size for me! Came with threeService was pretty quick, but I feel like we were lucky as we stumbled on to this place as it just opened. By the time we finished eating we saw the line go out the door. This was on a Friday as a heads up. Just be warned! But I totally would wait for the food--I dare say it 's one of the best I 've had in LA. Overall, would go here again! I am about to rave to everyone about how good their sliders are.
