Ya Mal Alsham - Paterson

This is literally the best shawarma I’ve had in the US. We even ordered sandwiches and travelled with them and they still tasted amazing the next day!

The quality of authentic Shawerma in the US improved significantly in the past few years. Shawerma is one of the dishes Arabs most miss from back home. Personally I believe that Syrians are the masters of the authentic Shawerma. This Syrian place impressed me with the flavors and quality. I can now say that there are places in the US that serves shawerma that tastes exactly like the Shawerma back home and this place is one of them. I can’t wait to be back.

Family owned restaurants feels like home. The food is great and the portions are big. 5 stars!

First time we went there, Mixed Grill had beef shish kabob as well. Next times, that was omitted. ? Last time we went, kofta kabob had an unpleasant smell. We thought the meat has gone bad in summer heat. The young man was nice and offered us not yo pay (we didn’t accept), but the lady was not receptive.We felt sick when we were back home. Not pleasant. ??
