Pig Stand - Pawhuska

We were looking forward to enjoying a local BBQ while paragliding, but unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations. The food tasted stale and lacked flavor. I would say this ranks among the worst BBQ experiences we've ever had.

The staff were very rude to people who are not regular customers. The portion sizes were insufficient for the prices we paid. During my brief time there, I overheard them using the N-word multiple times. I've had negative experiences with them on my last two visits.

Go to the Pioneer Woman, which is good, but after that, go to the Pig Stand, where you will not have to wait, but you will enjoy a delicious pig sandwich with fresh cut fries. This is a classic BBQ stand that’s worth stopping for.

The barbecue sauce on my sandwich had relish mixed in, and I really dislike relish. I've never encountered relish in a quality barbecue sauce before. Its flavor is too strong and detracts from the overall taste. Perhaps they have a sauce without it, but I wasn’t aware to ask. The meat was decent, though.

I tried it for the first time while I was at Cavalcade, the pig sandwich was awesome. We went back Friday and tried the catfish, it was great!!!
