The Shack - Pearl St, Groton

I love the Homey Fries at The Shack! They also have amazing chocolate cream pie. It would be 5* for me but the clam chowder was very watery.

I asked a few questions about the food I ordered. The waitress was quite annoyed with me that I questioned chili instead of taco meat. She angrily thought I didn't know the difference. The salad came out beautiful and the fries were heading over the plate. When I dove into my taco salad the meat was indeed chili meat and beans. I pushed the plate and ate my fries. She came over and put my bill on the table right after she put my food down. Never asked it everything was good or if I would like anything else. I told another waitress that I would not be paying for the salad because it was not what I ordered. She went directly to the other waitress right in front of me and loud enough for me to hear and said she won't eat this because she didn't want chili in her salad. The had a good laugh in front of me. I then heard one of the waitresses say don't throw that away we can use it. The other waitress sais she already started eating it. I wondered if they would even think of serving it to someone else! Had they asked me if I wanted something else it would have been the right thing to do. I was shocked at the behavior of these two waitresses and will never go there again. I heard how great the food was it it looked fresh and the presentation was perfect but the unprofessional ism of these two ladies was unacceptable. I paid for my fries and left disappointed.

The food was pretty good, the service was great. I will definitely be going back.

Amazing place we spent the week in the area and once we discovered this little gem we ate breakfast here each and every day!!!! Some of the best home fries I have ever had!!!
