Killen's Barbecue - Pearland

Visiting from out of town. Amazing BBQ. Tender and flavorful brisket, pulled pork and crazy good cheddar/jalapeño sausage and burnt ends. Brussels sprouts, coleslaw, deviled eggs, and creamed corn are made perfect. Got there at 11am and line went by quickly. Will recommend to anyone and everyone.

Went for dinner after a ballet recital. 430ish on a Saturday. Just beat the crowd! Sat at a table of 10 within about 5-10 minutes. The food was excellent. Love this place. Best BBQ around South Houston area in my opinion. Highly recommend the burnt ends appetizer, and if you've got a sweet tooth you can't go wrong with the bread pudding or peach cobbler!

I will put this place in my 4 star bbq bucket. With so much competition around Houston this place has a great brisket but the pulled pork and especially ribs just don’t reach the top quality. Sides are hit or miss as well. My baked beans were full of flavor but the coleslaw was super dry. My colleagues ordered Mac and cheese and brussel sprouts. they both enjoyed Mac and cheese but we’re not happy with well done brussel sprouts. I was surprised that my 3 meat plate didn’t include a single slice of bread. Service is very good. The ladies at the cash register were super friendly and they even grab our trays after we were done. Love the outdoor patio area with many picnic style tables. There is also plenty of parking behind the restaurant.

Stopped by after golf to try out this venue upon a recommendation from a friend. Well the dining room was packed, instead of waiting for a table, I chose to buy a to go order and eat in their pavilion. The order was ready in about 20 mins. “They do a brisk-it” business here. I ordered the pulled pork and the pork ribs and I must say that they were to perfection. One of the best I have had. The portions were sizeable and I did not leave hungry. You won’t either. Great choice, hope to be back.

While I was visiting Texas, I decided to visit Killen 's Barbecue in Pearland. I asked for the Lean Brisket, with sides of Creamed Corn and Mac 'N ' Cheese. The brisket was outstanding! It was well cooked, soft, and it was nice how it just broke in my mouth. It was very lean overall, and the edges had a very small amount of fat to it. The edges were also nicely seasoned and had just the right amount of salt. I really enjoyed the brisket a lot. The Creamed Corn was nice, fresh, juicy, sufficiently creamy, and outstanding. It had just the right amount of creaminess to it that made it very flavourful, and I really enjoyed the creaminess and the flavour. The Mac 'N ' Cheese was pretty good as well. The interior was pretty nice and simple and the service was great. Overall, this was a fantastic meal that I enjoyed very much. I would highly recommend coming to Killen 's Barbecue when visiting Texas!
