Mission Beach Tavern - Pedalion Point

As one of the few places in Mission Beach with some people we thought to grab a drink and a simple meal. Waiting for someone to serve, one of the guest drinking a nice Stella Artois appeared to be employee and went behind the bar. Asking for the same, the confusion started with a short "No, tomorrow morning".... It ment that he apparently had the last glass and the fust was empty. Little more explaining would have been considered service minded. Anyway, we ordered our food, had to pay in advance, and were wating for club sandwich and fish basket. Once we were able to collect the food, the club sandwich was dry, overcooked and no taste. Worse was the fish basket with a vague sauce around the scallops, calamari that was like chewing gum and the fish tasting like chicken. We left the Tavern having experienced the worst food ever.

Good value for lunch or quick dinner. (Yes there is pool table and yes the TV was on a sports channel.) Can't think what to have? The Tavern sandwich not only looks great it's tasty too. The service is good and "Mine Host" (Mein host) is a friendly helpful person. His bottle store is convenient and reasonably priced.

OMG! I am a new local and after being here for about four months I finally had the pleasure of eating at the Tully Heads Tavern.

Because the WiFi on the adjacent campsite was to cry, we had a drink here. Happy hour is between 4 and 6. So beer for AUD 4 is a good price. This is also a bottle shop, so buying drinks for 'home' is also possible.

I had the salmon and my partner had the steak sandwich. Both were quite quick to arrive and delicious. The staff were friendly. This is a great place for an afternoon drink or dinner. It is set out like a sports bar and I think more people would eat here if the pool tables and TVs were not the first thing you see.
