Ruben's Mexican Café - Peekskill

Hard shell tacos were soggy. Enchiladas Suizas hardly had any salsa verde. Flavor wasn’t there. Next time I’ll just buy the ingredients and make it myself. Won’t be coming back.

Second time in as many weeks! Food is so delicious, the guacamole is perfect, margaritas wonderful. Great food and great service!

A great outdoor dining experience. Dined outside as part of the Peekskill Summer Music Series. The food was delicious, the service was quick and attentive and social distancing and Covid rules were both handled very well. The menu was surprisingly extensive compared to other places we've been to after restaurants reopened. The wait staff was hard working, pleasant and checked back regularly. This restaurant recently moved from a smaller space, so based on our experience with their outdoor dining we can't wait to see their new indoor dining space.

My husband and I have eaten dinner twice here, and both times the food was excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. The staff is very attentive. Highly recommend.

I enjoy Rubens, it did get pricey, problem was the service. Nice kid, zero skill as a waiter, no frozen margs, ordered food, never came, was not a pleasant experience. Music was so loud you have to yell, and they really need some experienced servers, people were waiting to pay, it was a mess.
