J Zapata - Penn Lake Park

I have tried many Mexican food trucks, but this one beats them all. Subtle flavors, light meal, and delishhhh!!! It’s on Exit 256 on i-80 West. Definitely worth the stop. ???

I bought two items on July 21 with my credit card and was charged $39 for Tamales Zapata Style and Burrito Loco (Pastor), both items are listed as $10.60, so why was I charged $39? I texted with the business owner for the past month and he claims that he can’t find the credit card receipt, which I sent to him twice and still he claims he can’t refund me. I love the food at J Zapata, but make sure you pay with cash not a credit card!!!

We literally stumbled upon the J. Zapatas taco truck while turning around in a gas station parking lot. Menu is a choice of pork, beef, chicken, or steak on different style corn tortilla tacos. We enjoyed a special of (6) beef Tacos Mexicanos. They had onion and cilantro with a mild hot sauce. Food was amazing!!! And, where else are you gonna get six tacos for $15? Enjoy this Oasis during your interstate travels.

We pulled over at this interstate exit when we were tired of driving and spotted the shabby looking taco truck. It looked interesting but we worried about what the food would be like. A quick check of reviews showed that people love it! Now we know why. The food is great. We missed sides like chips and salsa, but the meals were more than enough to fill us up.

Great food, a local treasure. Seriously amazing burrito Loco. Great portions for the price.
