Írjon visszajelzéstI had been to Sushi Gawa several times since moving to Peoria and food had been fairly decent. Their staff is very nice and polite. Though I was there on Monday, January 5th after their 4 day vacation and got food poisoning after eating their Spicy Salmon. I noticed the roll was extra spicy and feel they may have tried to cover up the fact that the fish was not fresh. All in all, I am very disappointed in Sushi Gawa. I have never become so sick after eating out, I will never want to eat there again.
This is an excellent place to try many different sushi dishes. The staff is helpful, and the menu is easy to understand if you are a sushi novice. Try the rainbow if you are not sure what to try.
I have been a regular Sushi Gawa patron for five years. Traveling across the county and comparing sushi restaurants, I can say that Sushi Gawa is among the top three of the dozen or so sushi restaurants I have tried. The Chicago prices are surprising for Central Illinois as most Peoria Restaurants are about twenty percent cheaper than Chicago. The extra you pay is worth it. The restaurant is always clean, the food is extra fresh and the sushi is presented beautifully. For a great value, go with the Large Shashimi platter. Anything tempura battered here will be exceptional. Of Peoria's two Sushi restaurants, this one is my clear favorite.
