Wendy's - Peoria

Awful experience. Can someone please pay attention to their work? It’s not that complicated! I shouldn’t have to ask for a straw to go with my drink. On top of that, my order was such a mess that I ended up giving it away to the kids in the neighborhood. The food was decent, but it wasn’t what I actually ordered. Please stop hiring 16-year-olds who don’t seem to care. They’re getting paid $18 an hour; you’d think they could manage to get an order right. This is my first time writing a review, but it’s not the first time this has happened. I won’t be returning.

If you haven't met this guy yet, brace yourself for a glare when he hands you your order or if you ask for extra sauces. He’s consistently rude to customers, which is something you’re explicitly told NOT to do as a general manager. I wanted to share this to give an idea of what it’s like to work here. It’s a challenging job with a manager who uses guilt to convince you that your position at a fast-food chain is more important than your family or mental well-being.

First, I want to mention that this location is exceptionally clean, and the younger staff members provide excellent customer service. However, I observed the manager, Jack or Jeff (a heavier-set older gentleman), being quite rude to the other employees. As someone with experience in fast food, I know that having a supervisor like this can make work miserable. I believe this individual would be better suited for a role with less authority.

The food is fine but this is the only Wendy?s that I?ve seen that will only service one car in the drive thru at a time no matter how many cars are in line. Absolutely ridiculous. The line is not backed up to the speaker yet nobody is able to order.

I know what you're thinking... Fast food with a 5-star rating... come on? Well, this location has always had fresh French Fries and made to order burgers that taste fresh. But the best part is the wonderful charisma of the elderly lady at the drive thru. Don't know her name, but she has always been super friendly, funny, and a genuine pleasure to speak with when at the window. She reminds me of a grandma you wish was yours. Kudos!
