Írjon visszajelzéstThis ice cream stand had over 2 dozen flavors to choose from when I stopped by, all at reasonable prices: $4.90 for a single scoop, $5.50 for a medium, and $6.30 for a large. Of course, I had to go big and try a couple of flavors at once. The rum raisin and cherry amaretto didn't disappoint: enough chunks of real fruit, just a hint of boozy taste, and a nice, buttery consistency. Service was efficient, and there's seating both inside and out. A nice find while exploring north central Massachusetts on a day road trip.
Ice cream was good, just not super flavorful. I had pistachio and my sis had butter crunch w/o many crunches.
This restaurant has been around for decades, even before I was born in the 60s. The ice they use is always fresh and they offer a good variety of options. The employees are great, mostly college students, and they are always friendly and helpful. They have unique pointed glasses for serving and I encourage people to leave tips for them. The homemade ice is delicious and you can definitely taste the difference compared to other places. In the summer, make sure to try their peach ice made with local peaches, it's really good. There used to be a place in Hollis called Loches that had the best peach ice in the world, unfortunately, they closed around 30 years ago. They were the only competition for this place. If you're lucky on a hot day, they have huge umbrellas that provide great shade, but you have to get there early to secure a spot under them.
I absolutely adore this cozy little spot! It holds special memories from my childhood - my parents used to take us in our pajamas and pile us into the family car for a delicious ice cream treat. The homemade ice cream here is truly top-notch. While they may not have a wide variety of flavors, the ones they do offer are incredibly tasty. My dad always used to order his favorite, the Doc special. They also come up with unique ice cream creations like the grahamtastic (a blend of Graham crackers and something fantastic). This nostalgic place has something for everyone to enjoy.
This is the best ice cream in town. My husband has been a loyal customer since he was a kid, and now we bring our own children here too. The variety of flavors is amazing, and we especially love the Pumpkin and Buttercrunch. Highly recommend this place!
