Update 10/29/22: Since the new management took over, the subs have improved significantly. I haven't encountered any issues after placing several mobile orders. However, when I arrived to pick up my order this last time, it seemed like they hadn't even started preparing it until I got there. Additionally, I requested my bread to be extra roasted, but it ended up being burnt. Typically, the bread isn't roasted much at all, but this was overdone.
Last Sunday, I went through the drive-thru to order a gluten-free base for my daughter. The staff member argued with me, insisting that they couldn't make a hot sub on gluten-free bread, despite the fact that we've been ordering it that way for years due to my daughter's childhood allergy. When I paid, she then came out and set up a barrier that closed off the drive-thru. We ended up waiting in our car for 45 minutes before deciding to go inside to check on our order, which consisted of just one sandwich, chips, and a drink. To our surprise, our order hadn’t even been started yet, and we waited an additional 25 minutes. Frustrated, my husband asked for a refund. The same staff member who took our order at the drive-thru denied his request for a refund for the service we never received. In the end, we left without any food and wasted $15. This is not an acceptable way to run a business, especially on a busy Sunday afternoon with only two employees working. I understand that we are still dealing with pandemic-related issues, but it's crucial for someone in management to provide support in times like this. This was not our first negative experience at this location, but it will definitely be our last, as we won’t be returning.
Today's visit was the third time that the SAME had done the exact thing; The last two times it was just my daughter and her grandmother so she just left, but today I experienced the terrible treatment of customers. Every three times when pulled on the speaker, NO ONE EVEN ACKNOWLEDGES THERE is a CUSTOMIC. Every time we pulled to the window and did more than knock? and was still ignored. So today, after that happened, I went in and my first question was..? Is your drive broken? And the girl? pretended she was asking if it was up, and worked, but only after she asked me if I was on the SPEAKER. How are you gonna treat me like I'm stupid? So I ordered 3 sandwiches, then we ran to McDonald?s, and when we came back to get our subs, I had to stand there and wait for about 5-6 minutes more. I don't know why I had to wait after we got back? I don't know what their problem is, but this kind of service is UNACCEPTABLE PERIOD! And I worked in the food industry/restaurants for rest, and all this comes from more than just employees. You obviously know that it's okay.. and yes, I think they are deliberately doing customers like that because it's just not? accidentally? happen 3 different TIMES? We need better!!!!
Food tasted great and was prepared to order. However, it took more than 30 minutes to get our sandwiches inside, while the drive through was prioritzed. This was apparent, because the people who ordered in front of us received their order and finished eating by the time we were given our order. The staff was less than enthusiastic about their duties and obviously very frustrated by the lack of staff.
