Honey 'n Spice - PETITCODIAC

Popped in over the weekend and I highly recommend their Brown Bread and 'Milky Moments ' cookies.They are to die for!! I believe they are a short bread with vanilla (maybe butter cream? frosting on top.So buttery and smooth, almost like a cross between a cupcake and a shortbread cookie when you bite into them that 's how good they are! 10/10 going to re-purchase these!

This place could be a prop for some kind of movie, not sure which kind, but something possibly mysterious. Just look at the outside, reminiscent of something from the Wild West. I 'm not sure what I was expecting when going in, but there wasn 't much going on in there other than some home made type baking. I believe I did get a coffee there, something easily forgotten, drunk from a generic takeaway cup and absolutely tasteless. Sugar cookies caught my eye, and were thrown into my van which helped save me from stopping for breakfast somewhere down the line, amen to that. They were great!! actually they were ok.... On the counter were cinnamon rolls which were drenched in syrup, and looking mighty irresistible. She said that it was surprising that they were still there as they sell out so quick. Sure, sure, ok I 'll bite. Behind the bakery was a train track, of course, why wouldn 't there be? So there it was... a gritty backdrop for some end-of-the-road type photo-ops, and I snapped a few. No bathroom stop here, but the owner was quick to point out the the dollar store down the street had a public washroom, and Tim 's was not far either. Kudos for solid local advice like that!

The bread here is absolutely amazing. So fresh and flavourful.
