Desi Chaat House - Philadelphia

The Sev Dahi Puri was just average, and the Samosa Chaat didn't meet my expectations at all. It felt like the cooking was quite lazy — they just served plain channa with every dish, whether it was Sev Puri or Samosa Chaat. I can't think of a single place in India that serves plain channa with Samosa Chaat. The channa should be seasoned with spices, and authentic channa masala should be mixed in with the samosas to create a proper Samosa Chaat. If they insist on offering plain channa, there should definitely be a spicier option with well-cooked, seasoned channa. Overall, I was really disappointed with the Samosa Chaat.

The food was average. The bhaji had an overpowering amount of spices, which made its flavor quite intense and not enjoyable. Additionally, the serving size of the bhaji was quite small.

The food was really disappointing. The vada pav was served in a burger bun, which is baffling—if I wanted a veggie burger, I'd just go to McDonald's. The chaat had apples in it, and I can't understand the reasoning behind that. And the samosa had an unpleasant smell. Overall, not a good experience.

Lamb tasted like tofu it wasnt good at all Ugh I usually love the papri chaat but it was more chips than other ingredient which felt like a total rip off.

Used to work around here, would stop by for lunch and the food here is delicious. The chaats and lunch specials are pretty good. Great location too!
