Terakawa Ramen - Philadelphia

Absolutely delicious! I really enjoyed the Spicy Ramen and the Takoyaki. The ramen was incredibly spicy—definitely the spiciest I've ever had! The takoyaki was wonderfully gooey and paired perfectly with my ramen. I also tried a bottle of Ramune and some Shrimp Tempura, both of which were fantastic as well. I would definitely come back for another meal!

This was my first time trying anything from this restaurant, and I must say I'm quite surprised by all the positive reviews. The ramen (the Mayu) was just average at best. The chashu, egg, and vegetables were perfectly acceptable, but the broth and noodles left a lot to be desired. The broth lacked the richness and depth of flavor that make great ramen truly wonderful. It was so one-dimensional and uninspired that I could hardly taste any garlic. As for the noodles, they were clumped together and not cooked properly. I can’t help but wonder if all these positive reviewers have simply never experienced truly excellent ramen before, or if I just happened to visit on an off day. I left feeling very disappointed.

The restaurant is pleasant and spotless. The food is tasty, fresh, and authentic, although my ramen could have been a bit more flavorful. The pork belly and rice were enjoyable, as were the fried pork dumplings. Overall, I had a good experience, and the prices are reasonable for all budgets. I plan to visit again.

Absolutely delicious! The server was incredibly friendly and offered great recommendations. She brought out roasted garlic and a sesame grinder that enhanced the already rich flavors of the ramen beautifully.
