Winthorpe and Valentine - Philadelphia

YAY! I was thrilled that the kitchen keeps a stash of Gluten Free bread for people that avoid Wheat! They were able to prepare their famous Eggs Benedict

My husband decided to eat here one night while we were staying at the Westin, and we were not very impressed.

On my recent trip to Philly, my friend and I wanted to try out a different place and stumbled onto Winthorpe & Valentine located in The Westin.

The waiter was an idiot, tried to sell everything and was rude and slow to bring everything we asked for. The food was mediocre at best, the sauces were over the top and the tortillas tasted stale. Wouldn't recommend!

The atmosphere was good, the noise level was ok, the food was missing. The service was very good, nice waiters and reception! The sweetness of the sauces in our Mexican food was very different and not good! Even the salsa for the fries was more like spaghetti, how do you mess up something simple like salsa ??? We think the worst was the enchilada sauce, sweet sauce, cinnamon doesn't go with enchiladas, I don't care if it's California, it doesn't taste good, sorry !!!!!!
