Newburn Rd Fish Chips

Probably not Snapper but good fish anyway.. The 'Snapper ' fillets were about 30cm long and 16cm or so wide being conservative. The frying oil was fresh and had no odour, the batter was crisp, not greasy and not too thick. The fish itself was well cooked if maybe a tiny bit over, but white and flaked well. Can 't comment on the chips, I didn 't have any. The prices were very reasonable I would go again.

BEST FISH'N'CHIPS. This place is amazing. Friendly staff, orders made fresh and ready within 15 minutes and really cheap. They always give a good size serving and on many occasions put in an extra piece of fish or spring roll. I love there batter, but the crumb is also delicious. Highly recommend these guys for any lazy night on the couch with a good movie.

Dale. I did before today (21/6/2014) sea scallops cold batter fallen off them chips only warm yet I was at the shop when they were wrapping my order up so perhaps it just sat there for a while before being wrapped. I would like the owners to know about this email so hopefully no one else will get the same treatment I did.

I visited this restaurant today to try their fish and chips, ordering one snapper fillet with chips. The price was reasonable, but the fish definitely wasn't snapper! When I called to complain, the owner insisted it was snapper. However, it tasted more like basa or something similar, and the fillets were quite thin as well. I would not recommend this place.

This is the best fish and chips place! We've never been let down by the quality, wait time, or service on any of our visits. It has become a true family favorite. Thank you so much!
