Bull Frogs Eatery - Picton

My colleague took me here just before a conference in the area. We arrived at lunch on a Tuesday and it was already busy. Lots of local folks grabbing a bite. My buddy had been before and is a foodie - he said I had to try the pizza. Though it was quite a wait (probably at least 30 mins) the pizza was amazing. I'm not a real pizza lover but this pie was addictive. Highly satisfying! There's not much to say about the decor - the place is a converted home and is really just a counter, a kitchen and the small dining room. However if you're in the area it is worth a stop. Order the pizza!

Stopped by the Bullfrog Eatery twice while on a recent trip to the area. FIrst for breakfast - just the normal fare.. eggs, home fries, toast and bacon and it was excellent. Returned a couple of days later with family and I had a Bullfrog burger that was delicious. Had different servers each time but both were pleasant, helpful. The owner stopped by to chat and the atmosphere was good. Did not try the pizza, but will in future. My wife had a luncheon special that was very good. My granddaughter had a milk shake that I sampled and it was A-1. Nice little spot.

The peameal that we received with our breakfast was amazing. Coffee was great. Best little breakfast spot around.

We got rained out of our camping trip at Sandbanks and had to pack up early. Stopped in on a rainy morning with our 5 and 7 year old sons for breakfast. Owner/waitress/chef (she does it all!), was super nice and quick. Kids had sausage and pancakes, I had the standard 2 egg breakfast and hubby ordered the "big toad" breakfast, which was HUGE! Great portions, tasty food (son kept saying how great it was)! Definitely stop in if you're in he area!

This place is attractive in decor and spotlessly clean. The food is great. Service was great. Located in the middle of a Y (Wellington & 33)in the road driving from Picton... Parking is best approached from 33 rear of the building. Great coffee. Friendly restaurateur (owner).
