Maria cooked us one of the best meals I had in my life, let alone Greece. It felt like eating in a welcoming home. Your family is beautiful too.
Family owl business, they cook with the help of their son. Fresh fish and we tried pasta with shrimp.. it was amazing! Cool mood and very friendly. Very recommended!
A must-tauverna in Athens. I urge you to make some time to visit this place next time in Athens. First, the service is in no place. Efficient, friendly, helpful and warm. It is important that the seafood is the freshest that I had in Greece so far. All the dishes we had were excellent, do not hesitate to ask the nice staff for their suggestions. We're definitely coming back.
Wherever you are staying in Athens, make the trip here, you won't regret it. The freshest fish, served in simple but friendly surroundings, with great flair. Don't miss the gloopy taramasalata, creamy bean puree, sardines and Grilled prawns. Honestly one of the best meals I've had.
We stayed in the area for a night and was lucky to find out this gem! Psarokastella was definitely what we have in mind for a local seafood restaurant. Family owned and run by all family members, the chef brought us surprise to surprise with her cook, their warm welcome and surely the quality of food! I was licking my finger trying the boiled/ steamed shrimps with homemade sauce. That was the best for us and we were hesitating to order another one. We tried also octopus with wine sauce, grilled squid and super fresh fried fishes (too hungry and excited forgot taking a photo of the fishes). And as usual, dessert was offered (big portion of mousse mandarin jam). I will sure come back for more! Acceptable price (in comparison to other restaurants in the area). Definitely recommended and will be sure back!
