Írjon visszajelzéstThe sea food restaurant was as expected the food was good. We could get a table as we walked in. The restaurant was popular with the locals and the place was buzzing by 8.30pm on a weekday. There's is there option of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff here was patient and spoke in English to try and explain the menu. Food was served promptly. The fried calamari and sardines were good. We felt the prices were a little too expensive for its setting and service.
Good wine, fresh fish, quick service. Not so cozy, but a family restaurant. I'll be back. Edit: from 4 stars to 5 because the prices are nice.
Incredibly good place for seafood. Very polite and friendly people. You can show you the fresh fish so you can choose which one you want to eat if you want. The prices were very friendly for 3 people. We had a nice time and I'm definitely back. I suggest to anyone close to paying a visit to this hidden jewel.
One of the best places in Piraeus. The owner speaks English and very friendly. The food is really fresh and the price is good. The fish red Snapper was super fresh and I chose it from the warehouse. I suggest trying.
Fresh fish, seafood... It would really be a crime to visit Greece and not to enjoy it. You can enjoy this food category in about every corner of this country, but a place stood by what I tried so far. Location: In April 2017 I decided to visit Piraeus after spending the morning in Athens. I took the subway towards Piraeus (more of a tram than subway) and ended in the port. Since it was at 13:00 hours, I decided to enjoy lunch, then go to Piraeus. I went towards the restaurant I discovered last night on Trip Advisor and decided to try. From the outside, the place does not look great or luxurious, but do not let it deceive. From my experience, the best places to eat are exactly the same: small, simple, filled with locals who want to enjoy fresh local cuisine. The food: After I sat outside on a table and saw some octopus hanging on a wire, an employee of the staff came to me with the menu and told me that it's okay to pay with the card (that would not happen very often in Athens). She invited me inside to pick up the fresh fish that was just boiled so that after looking at the insides of the refrigerators I chose the barbun (red mallet) as I really enjoyed this fish and grilled it. I chose a large vegetable salad as a supplement, tzatziki and grilled octopus. I washed everything with myth (local beer). I usually choose the house specialties, but I thought it was a good place to sample fish as this was a sea town and what better place to taste seafood? As far as food goes, I can only say that it was perfect. From simple salad to grilled fish and squid I took my time and ate one of the most delicious meals I ever had. Not only in Greece, but I took into account every fish tavern I have ever tried in many countries. The dessert was on the house and it was also great. If I had to describe it, it was a sweet, soft cake with cinnamon. Staff: The staff gets a big plus from me. From the moment I chose my table until I paid, I felt at home, a feeling you rarely have when you eat in a foreign country. At the end of the meal, warm towels were provided so that I can clean the smell of fish from my hands and that brought another smile to my face. To conclude this review, I would just like to say this: O Giannis Fish Tavern is clearly a place to eat more than once. The food is fresh, simple and it tastes incredible.
