The Mall Deli - Pittsburg

4 years ago, but last year something is different. Food quality is still good, but I suggest eating in the deli instead of taking. last 2 to go orders were not correct. Hamburger should have all the vegetables and I'll come home and it's just a simple patty and bread. no spices or vegetables at all. Today I order a ham and tail. back to work, not a dick. not a big deal, but that's twice in a row.

The Mall Deli is a Pittsburg tradition with good reason. It offers first class service, food, cleanliness, and staff. I have never received a bad meal or service at the Mall Deli in the 40 plus years I have had the pleasure to enjoy a meal there. Prices have always been a bargain for the quality and quantity of food your receive. While they have many phenomenal sandwiches, soups, etc.; My favorite has always been the Chef Salad. An easy two meals worth of lettuce, ham, turkey, and cheese topped with a deviled egg half. The French Dip and other sandwiches are infamous for addictive reasons. The list is too large to post here. First time there,I heard they have been there for awhile,I had a sub sandwich, meat was fresh,bread was soft,the rueben..sandwich was good,nice amount of meat and that creamy Italian sauce ? ?

Extremely fast and delicious. While you're waiting for your order there are crackers with creamy Italian dressing to snack on. The menu has a good variety and is very affordable. My plate was clean, and they aren't small portions, so I definitely enjoyed it!

I’ll be honest: the food is average, but the portion sizes are generous and the prices are reasonable. However, this place really needs a thorough deep cleaning, especially when it comes to the carpets. In some spots, the carpet is actually sticky and has a strong unpleasant odor. The owners should consider hiring a professional steam cleaner or investing in new carpeting.
