Doce Taqueria - Pittsburgh

The chicken and beef tacos were okay. The tacos by itself wasn't tasty and required some sauce to help to our satisfaction. Guacamole wasn't the best but the Queso helped make up for that. Chips wasn't warmed up nor fresh.I may be the wrong audience market. This wouldn't be the place you would have dinner with family relatives, this is a place you would have a happy hour with your coworkers.

The cashier had a bad attitude and was very nasty to customers for no reason. Continuous eye rolls and sass had no customer service. Made everyone very uncomfortable. My family won’t be returning… because of her! This place isn’t cheap to eat at, with what I spent I would like to have had a better experience.

This restaurant has become our family's go-to place for food takeout because the food is not only delicious but also reasonably priced. When compared to a nearby place in Condado that offers a similar menu at much higher prices, this spot really stands out. Their combo deal, which includes two tacos of your choice, fresh chips, and a large dip, offers great value. Additionally, the kids' menu always puts a smile on my 7-year-old's face, and my 2-year-old loves the chips and queso. Despite the occasional mistake with our order, it's a fantastic option overall.

I have dined at Doce Taqueria twice, most recently ordering food for delivery. Since I was temporarily avoiding meat in my diet, I was pleased to find vegetarian and vegan options on their menu. I enjoyed the chips and guacamole, street corn, a vegan potato taco, a vegan black bean taco, and the dino bowl (which I customized with shrimp as my protein). All the ingredients were fresh and tasted great.

As a native Mexican, I can confidently say that the two tacos I tried—carnitas and pollo—were a commendable attempt at Mexican cuisine. I appreciate that they don't claim to be an authentic Mexican establishment, yet still serve a flavorful taco. I noticed other reviewers mentioned a ground beef taco, but I found it to be lacking. The carnitas taco was slightly dry, but the toppings and filling really made it enjoyable. Additionally, the cashier was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful when it came to choosing what to order.
