It didn't quite compare to what we've had in Boston, despite the generous amount of lobster. On a positive note, the pizza was excellent. The staff were friendly as well! As for parking, there’s free parking available on weekends in designated spots.
Roland's offers a wonderful atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something new, even though I've never been a fan of mussels. When I saw the Mexican street corn-flavored mussels on the menu, I couldn't resist giving them a shot. I'm so glad I did! Each mussel was cooked to perfection and paired perfectly with the accompanying sauce. It was a delightful experience that left me feeling full and satisfied. My wife ordered the salmon salad, which was expertly prepared. It was packed with fresh vegetables, and the salmon was beautifully cooked with a nice blackened finish. Overall, Roland's is a fantastic restaurant to visit while in Pittsburgh!
We really enjoyed our meal at the restaurant. I ordered the New England clam chowder and a hot lobster roll, while my wife went for the spicy crab chowder and seafood stew. The portion sizes were generous, and our server was very friendly. The only downside was that my lobster roll arrived nearly 20 minutes before my wife’s entree, which meant I had to start eating without her, and my food began to cool down after about 10 minutes. Aside from that, we were both very pleased with our meals. They also had a nice selection of beer. We would definitely come back!
If you go anywhere for food along the Strip, it should be Roland's. Great seafood menu and beers on tap list. There is outdoor dining during the warm weather months, but there is plenty of room inside where there are tables, booths, and a very large rectangular bar, which probably seats 50-60 people. Had the grilled tuna that came with rice pilaf and vegetable medley sides. The Ceasars salad appetizer was a meal in itself. The restaurant reminded me of a restaurant you find in the French Quarter.
Seafood was delicious. Chicken wings were cooked just right and not over cooked chewy and was pretty large size, overall fantastic. Service was great. Its a great place to dine in
