Írjon visszajelzéstThis place has always been a favorite spot for Friday nights after a Pennsylvania football game. I've since moved on to the more upscale part of Tony's, which is the downstairs wine bar. The pizza is among the best in the Pittston area, but I can't speak for most of the other dishes! The wine bar is a fantastic addition, and I've enjoyed watching games there on Saturdays. However, I haven't been back in quite some time since moving to Philadelphia, which has only made me miss NEPA pizza even more!
When the pizza was finished, it was boxed up with my wings. Unfortunately, both the wings and the pizza were so salty that I couldn't eat them at all. The next day, when I called to complain, the guy who made the pizza told the manager that I had threatened him, which was completely false. Both managers were very disrespectful; one of them told me that I couldn't return the food after having taken it home. I paid $12.15 for food that was inedible. I tried to contact the owner, but I was informed that Tommy doesn't come to either location. The amount of salt in the food could potentially be harmful. This experience was very disappointing.
While he was waiting, I called to speak with the owner. I was met with a rude woman who said he was busy and didn't know when he'd be available. When I asked for her name and said goodbye, I remained polite despite her unprofessional demeanor. Having worked in hospitality for years, I know that customers deserve kindness and respect, no matter how busy things get. To make matters worse, the same disrespectful woman later told my husband, in a snarky tone, that "Your wife is a delight," which was completely inappropriate. After hearing that, I instructed my husband to cancel the order and request a refund. When he mentioned their poor business practices, she fired back with another rude comment. This entire experience was a nightmare, simply for trying to order pizza! We felt bullied and mistreated by their staff for a mistake that was entirely on them. We will never return to this establishment—consider this a warning to others.
This is definitely the type of place where you stick to the pizza. I called to place an order for pick up and the woman was very unfriendly, but I figured it was just because it was a busy Friday night so I shrugged it off. The Italian subs are all bread and no meat. The only good thing about it was that the bread was indeed fresh. The hot chicken bites were dry and nothing to write home about. When I picked up the food I was surprised to see it wasn't even busy in a Friday. Definitely better places in the area to get dinner.
Great pizza and great service from Liz who has been here 20 years in this 50 year old established pizza business. I am traveling for work and I will definitely be back again!
