Tlaquepaque - Placentia

Got the Quesabirra plate, turned out delicious! Will be back again for sure.

On my first visit here I really enjoyed the drinks and the Baja Fish Tacos! The service was great. Definitely would come again.

For 3 meals $90. Kinda expensive. Not enough fish in the fish tacos, it had more cabbage then fish. Overall it was good. Just a bit too expensive. I've gone to other Mexican restaurants. And Ive not paid even close to that amount.

A Placentia landmark in the small downtown area, Tlaquepaque is worth a visit for a traditional OC Mexican food experience, the kind with chips and salsa and a well-decorated interior alongside being in Orange County history. The food is as expected for these types of Mexican food places, but also can’t really go wrong with a basic enchilada or tamal, rice and refried beans. 2024 prices are surprisingly fair such as $14.5 for the shredded beef taco salad, $18 for a chicken mole plate, or about $16-18 for an enchilada plate.

Classic OC mexican food for the whole family. Small lot in the back and friendly servers. You’re getting great food, at a decent price in big servings. Split a combo plate with a loved one and sit around the table for a chat. Not the most authentic or best but damn good and in a cute area with lots more to do. I got the Combination plate and split it with my gf and we were both satisfied. Stick around for the churros to round out your experience here.
