Jasmine - Planos

There are some nice restaurants in Planos, and one of them is Jasmine Restaurant. They host Greek nights on Wednesdays with a special menu, while the rest of the week offers a separate vegan menu with plenty of options. For starters, we tried the Vegan cheese, which we found to be somewhat lacking in uniqueness and resembled supermarket cheese. My girlfriend enjoyed a pasta with pesto, while I tried the stuffed paprika, both of which were delicious in their own right. We also ordered a lovely rosé wine, which was only listed by the bottle on the menu but can be ordered by the glass as well. During our second visit, we shared the bruschetta and then enjoyed the baby mushrooms and vegan burger as main dishes, both of which were beautifully presented and delicious.

They had a whole vegan menu and the plus for me was the incredible mushroom pasta dish I have. I hate it when restaurants only do a arriabata for vegans, I don’t want that every time! Their homemade hummus was the best I’ve ever had!

Disappointed by the vegan choices I had on the while while I was having my vacations on zakynthos island I discover this hidden gem with plenty of vegan choices on the menu. Additionally the atmosphere, the stuff and the owners are really friendly and relaxed. Top quality combined with such a nice decoration of the restaurant. I would definitely go again while I’m back.
