So what ever mood your in they have it in one of there dishes. The nachos were left in a bit too long which .Ade the cheese crust and didn 't give it that cheese melting goodness Im always looking for but the first time I had them they were pretty good. Same thing for the deep fried maple cheese curds. Missed the timer on that and they came out somewhat on the well done side but I still taste what they were going for and i liked it. I think my fav Mac right now is the jambalaya. Nice heat and flavor. I 'll definitely go back for a third time Cause they hooked me.
There's some odd menus items at this place that aren't normally seen around a town like Plattsburgh but don't let that fool you. The portions are pretty big and definitely worth the money, plus their food is amazing! Got the buffalo Mac and cheese and it was so good! Definitely will be coming back again!
Been here a few times with co workers. Our House Bistro is known for their sandwiches, specials, happy hour specials, and of course their Mac n cheese! So many options for Mac n cheese....good luck coming here if you are bad at decisions. Anyways, pictured in this review are maple bourbon wings covered with yummy flakes of bacon and sweet potato fries with a cinnamon aioli. Would recommend to a friend, will come back again. Cheers!
During our most recent visit to Plattsburg, we tried out a bistro called Our House. They are purveyors of what they call Twisted Comfort Food. This was our first visit to Our House and walking in, you enter the bar side of the establishment. The mood was festive and there was a two-man band playing oldies but goodies from Elton John, Don McClean, Billy Joel, Bob Dylan, etc. We got a table on the restaurant side which allowed us to hear the music in the background without drowning out our own voices. The entire meal was delicious and very filling. We started with a cup of Clam Chowder, how could we not try it with plaques adorning the walls listing the awards it has won over the years. For the main meal I decided to try one of their signature Mac and Cheese dishes. Of the 25 plus options I went with one of Brittney’s suggestions and ordered The Smoked Gooooda Brisket Mac. This is how Mac and Cheese, classic comfort food, should be creamy, crispy and hearty. The various ingredients meshed well together to provide a truly unique flavor. Meanwhile Marcela opted for the Butternut Squash Risotto. It was expertly prepared an served with balsamic-dressed baby field greens roasted tomatoes. Although we would have loved to have sampled items from their very temping desert menu, we were unable to do so as we were both so full that it felt like we were about to burst at our seams. Doggie bags were the norm, and like us most people were taking as much as half of their main meals with them. Therefore, I would recommend that you remember to bring your re-useable container should you decide to visit this gem of a restaurant.
