Maria Maria - Playa del Carmen

The food and service were excellent. Out of 7 days we ended up going there 3 nights for dinner. Beef tornados are to die for! Had that dish 2x. The watercress salad with duck also delicious. Also if you like Michelada. Be sure to order it here. They make it both ways (Mexican and American version w tomato juice) and both versions were muy bien :)*** Be sure to ask for servers MARCO and AHMED. Extremely knowledgeable about the menu, very attentive and kind and just fun to be around.

We had a group of four couples that visited The Royal resort at the end of January. One of the couples recommended Maria Maria's for dinner. Our dinner was excellent, but the service was even better! Our server suggested a chocolaty desert-ish drink that was awesome. They spent time visiting with us and learning more about our trip and shared a bit of their culture with us. We really enjoyed the personal touch they gave us, it made us feel special. A big thanks to Jorge Agvilar, Edith Ovando, and Adan!

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The service was excellent as well. Our waiter, Marco made our dining experience there superb. Even though the food was excellent He was the best part!

Had Marco as our server and he was so hospitable and attentive! When i wasn't full he rushed out another steak for me! Love Maria Maria, love the Royal, love Marco!

My fiancé and I ate at Maria Maria two out of the five nights that we stayed at The Royal. This by far was our favorite restaurant. The food was exceptional and the service was top notch. Jesus Sanchez and Leonardo were amazing and so pleasant to be around!!! Both waiters went over and beyond to make us feel special. Jesus and Leonardo prepared a special appetizer, dinner drink, and dessert on our final night. They also recommended dinner choices on both nights. Leonardo and Jesus were extremely attentive. You never had to ask for another drink because your drink was already on the table before you were finished. They always had a smile on their faces and were truly amazing! Thank you so much for making our stay rememberable!! We will be back and hope to have you as our waiters during our next trip :)
