Salento - Playa del Carmen

HIDDEN GEM! I didn’t want to write a review because I still wanted to be able to get a table! This place! The pasta dishes were INCREDIBLE! The pizzas were PERFECTION!!!

Im a local and the service is poor and they never seem to have key ingredients and therefore alot of dishes are always missing. They never have all the basic dishes that are on the menu. I mean, never having bolognesa the few times ive...gone over a 3 year period. Really? Waste of time and space. There are much better italian options in Playa del Carmen.

We were waiting for 20 minutes to sit. there were 3 of us amd a table for 8, we understood they have us a table next to my car. okay. well roll with it. the so xalled manager took our. ordering, nothing too hard. mango juice, orange juice, glass wein mango and orange tasted like just sugar) nuts apetecer came in. they were good. 30 minutes for our pizza. but suprise it warns our it went on a table that in 20 minutes after we did. Party of 8. I have 8 pizza before us. told us that they place our order wrong, but no worries. it comes. 20 minutes and more people who just sit, got pizza. over 1 hour no service. we had to go. starve, starve and laugh. great service and experience overall. I wanted to try it. they are reading well. I should have known that I am not a native:

The baked garnel is amazing! they get 12 huge garnels baked in this butter garlic sauce. it's really one of the best dishes I had in playa.
