Delicious gluten-free cookies, muffins, and sandwiches! I'm excited to try more items from the menu!
The restaurant offers designated parking spaces and features a friendly staff. Dining options are available, and everything is vegan, organic, and glitter-free. I tried the Dan Dan noodles, which had a generous portion and an unmistakable flavor. The Spicy Thai Peanut Ramen was mild, yet it had a uniquely enjoyable taste. I also had the Mulligatawny soup, which was delicious. The sweet panini was a good portion as well; I would have preferred it cut in half for easier eating. The garlic bread with cheese was a bit of a gamble for me—it came with marinara sauce, but the sauce was cold, which threw me off a little. Finally, I enjoyed a brownie bite, which was a nice small treat. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked everything I ordered, and I look forward to coming back here.
Definitely one of the best new upscale-casual vegan restaurants in New York! Their Indian fusion dishes are delicious and inventive, served in a beautifully designed space in Pleasantville, near a really cool bike shop. The staff was very friendly and filled my REI Yeti to-go cup with vegan chai tea, complete with coconut sugar on the side – it was truly a spiritual and transcendent experience. I ordered the panini, a carrot muffin, a cookie, and several other snacks from their menu for a picnic at the Russell Wright Design Center. Make sure to bring their optimistic thermobeaker and enjoy your trip to Roots 2 Rise!
In addition to the paninis, we also loved the Kale Caesar Salad, lasagna, grilled cheese sandwich, and fresh-cut fruits. We can't wait to sample more dishes on our next visit. On our third trip, we had the pleasure of meeting the owners. The founder, Jyoti Tewani, is a genuinely caring and thoughtful person who personally oversees the kitchen for every meal. She carefully vets every product they sell and tastes each batch of juices made by her staff. The restaurant is run entirely by family members, each with their specific roles, and the non-family staff are also incredibly friendly. We're already looking forward to coming back on our next vacation to the area. Sometimes, instead of trying multiple restaurants, it's nice to find one great spot and keep returning! This restaurant is definitely worth a detour. Check it out! As a salad lover, I want to mention two major salad faux pas: 1. using too many ingredients, and 2. not cutting them small enough for easy eating. I’m happy to report that the salad here excels in both areas, featuring four finely sliced ingredients. It was such a delightful take on kale, and I was thrilled to receive the recipe for the vegan Caesar dressing so I can try making it myself!
