Írjon visszajelzéstI had lobster rolls 4 days out of my 6 in PEI and this was by far the best tasting, and surprisingly, the best price too. Unfortunately I got takeout because the restaurant was full, and could not try more items because they only offer their lobster rolls and chowders for takeout.
We enjoyed our meals here. It's expensive but worth it. The service was very slow but the restaurant was packed. You definitely need a reservation. We were able to sit on the deck and enjoy the view of the water. I would highly recommend the scallop and bacon bake.
We wanted to go here based on our friend's recommendation....they were not able to get a reservation because they were not to call during the times you can make reservations by phone....you can't do it online....but I set an alarm during the times they answer the phone and got a reservation.......the setting is lovely and the staff is friendly and the beer is good.....the oysters were good but the service is incredibly slow, the chowder is average, and the mussels (which we had multiple times on PEI) were fresh but the implementation was tasteless. Very disappointing. We had expected to return the next day for lunch, because we love the menu, but did not because we would not return or recommend it to others. Not sure why this gets good reviews but there are soooooo manyyyyy better places on the island.......this place os not worth the trip.
Best meal so far in PEI . Nice setting overlooking the water. Very friendly helpful staff. The curry crab and corn chowder was incredible, as was my son's creamy seafood chowder and my wife's clam chowder. Also had a clam pot to start. Might have to come back tomorrow!
I don't personally eat seafood, but I ate here twice during my last visit to PEI with seafood lovers who all raved about their chowders, mussels, and steamer pots. It's a must for anyone who comes to PEI for fresh seafood. For non-seafood lovers, my porkloin and pan-seared chicken were excellent as well. There are a few things visitors should expect - this place is right on the water at the end of a dirt road, it gets very busy (all the outdoor dining with ocean views was booked both times I went), and it's a fairly casual spot with relaxed (though not slow) service. There is definitely an issue with flies in the indoor eating area, but this is simply because there is constant traffic in and out through the main door. The desserts we tried - the blueberry bread pudding and the chocolate brownie sundae - were both amazing as well. While waiting for our food, we took walks and photos out by the water and after dinner we went and explored the Point Prim lighthouse, which is a 2 minute walk up the road.
