Phoenix Garden Chinese English Takeaway

I've only been to this Chinese restaurant twice in eight years, and I should have learned my lesson the first time. The special fried rice was burnt, the curry sauce was tasteless, and the spare ribs looked like they had been cooked the day before – very dry, even in the sauce. Even our dog turned up his nose at the prawn crackers. Lesson learned: I won't be going back again. Meal type: Other Price per person: £10–20

It took almost two hours for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, it only got worse. The duck was terrible, and the chips smelled like damp laundry and were inedible. I spent £45 at this restaurant and honestly, I would have preferred to give that money to someone in need. Staff are always very friendly. Decent prices and the food is amazing. Ignore the council estate chavs who don’t know what nice food tastes like. Always my go to on payday would highly recommend Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £1–10
