Jaqueyvi - Pontevedra

Excellent price/quality ratio downtown Pontevedra. Not very extensive menu, but everything there is a gods choice served in generous portions. “Tortilla”, “Croquetas de chipiron” and “secreto de cerdo” (grilled pork meat) are highly recommended.

This cozy restaurant is on the corner across from the Teatro Principal in the heart of the old town, and it's worth getting lost a few times to find it. I had a late lunch here, and had salad, jamon, manchego, bread, and a couple of Estralla. Everything was fresh and just right. The chef came out and we chatted for a bit--he was very nice and very committed to his craft. He had me try a mussel pastry that is a local dish and amazing. The service and quality of the atmosphere were the best.

This was a little pit stop in our Pontevedra trip, just for wine and tapas. The wine they recommend was a nice fresh white wine we loved. The tapas were good.

Carta reducida, precios algo altos aunque estén en línea con la calidad. la buena tortilla, la primera vez fue muy buena (con huevos de casa) pero la siguiente ya no era casera, la tabla de salchichas y buenos quesos, el buen tosta con anchoas de calidad, postres ricos.

Lugar acogedor. comida muy bien hecha, punto positivo para el cocinero. el punto negativo es tomado por la falta de organización del personal que asiste a la habitación. lijando ese detalle. sitio recomendado.
