We'll be back next time we're in the opposite.
Lovely little pub, tables nicely spaced out. Was a bit chilly inside. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was delicious, I had cheese and onion on a cobb roll with skin-on fries, and chocolate and orange torte. Really good value too.
Very nice pub/restaurant. Good location and good selection of drink. Food was very nice. Small point to note they don't not take cash. Its card only. Would definitely go there again though.
Friendly and cuddly traditional family pub. the family for the lunch of a late mother. despite the early arrival at our booking we were met with a warm welcome and quickly found a clean table. rachel, our waitress, was friendly and helpful. we knew what was on the menu, and what were beer on draft. we ordered the kinderburger (3) and got a steak chip and an adult plant burger. as the habit of the hall woodhouse kitchens seems, the steak was a little over boiled (medium rarely requested). but it was a good cut of meat and perfect portion size. the children had the sorbet and ice creams that come with the kinder dishes, they make a good job to take care of the little ones, although there is nothing to entertain them in the beer garden when they come to a sunny day. the total bill for 5 people, including some cozy drinks in the garden, was less than £20. great worth for eating and service.
This is a friendly and cozy traditional family pub. We visited for lunch in memory of a late mother. Despite arriving early for our reservation, we were warmly welcomed and quickly shown to a clean table. Our waitress, Rachel, was both friendly and helpful. We were familiar with the menu and the available draft beers. We ordered three Kinderburgers, a steak, chips, and an adult plant-based burger. As is often the case with Hall & Woodhouse kitchens, the steak was cooked slightly over the medium rare we requested, but it was a good cut of meat and the portion size was just right. The kids enjoyed the sorbet and ice creams that came with their Kinder meals; they do a great job of catering to the little ones, although there’s nothing in the beer garden to entertain them on sunny days. The total bill for five people, including some lovely drinks in the garden, came to under £20, making it a fantastic value for both the food and service.
