Very impressed with both the food and ambiance of Carmines, Port Adelaide. The restaurant is beautifully styled that creates a modern yet rustic feel. Serving large, tasty, home style Italian dishes that will not disappoint.

What a wonderful surprise, this place is fantastic. Great food , efficient professional service beautiful space to dine in. Couldn't fault anything, everybody at our table loved their food.But now i want to comment on floor staff. All young, about 18yrs old . These wait staff were more efficient professional and polite than some of the stuck up moronic forgetful rude staff at places like amalfi, Trattoria, africola. Where these so called adults can totally ruin your dining experience by forgetting your orders not checking to see if your happy keeping you waiting for hours .Not at Carmine, i was so impressed. I make an effort to come here every time I come back to Adelaide. The restaurant looks amazing, the decor is absolutely stunning. The eggplant parmigiana is amazing. I got to try the pastas this time too and they were beautiful.

Was expecting more from this place. The set up and decor inside is beautiful and makes for nice atmosphere. The service was a little sloppy to say the least. Garlic bread pizza was ordered and came out after our mains. We orders the pork ribs and steak. Steak came out undercooked which can happen. Trying to get someone's attention to fix it was difficult. The pork ribs on the menu sound like they are marinated in a sauce. The ribs come out cooked without a sauce and they were dry. A bowl of sauce comes with it for you to dip in... Not what I was expecting for $30. Overall, not that bad but definitely not that great either.

I had never dined at Carmine's previous location but the frontage at the new location almost drags you in. Extremely cosy and beautiful interior. Waiter was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. I had a decent serve of fettuccine torino which was delicious. A new fave in the western burbs!
