If you have visited this restaurant, you know what I'm talking about. The wait staff is lively and enjoyable.
Two vegan sandwich options. Large portions perfect for filling your belly after hiking at hurricane ridge. Plus local beer and wine.
The burgers and chicken sandwiches in Brussels sprouts are great choices.
My girlfriend and I were hiking out the Dungeness Sand Spit on our way to Port Angeles and hadn't eaten all day. By the time we arrived in Port Angeles, it was almost 5:30PM on a Monday, and both Sabai Thai and New Day Eatery were closed or closing. Feeling desperate, we checked Happy Cow and found The Spruce, which had one review. We discovered they offered three different vegan sandwich options, including an Impossible Burger, a housemade veggie burger, and a marinated tofu sandwich. All sandwiches could be made vegan with a pretzel bun. They also had vegan fries and a housemade vegan garlic aioli, as well as crispy fried brussels sprouts with a balsamic glaze. We decided to try all three burgers, fries, brussels sprouts, and aioli. The tofu sandwich was the winner of the three, followed by the Impossible Burger. The veggie burger, made with black bean and quinoa, was slightly overcooked and dry. The brussels sprouts were a bit overcooked for our liking, but still tasty. Overall, the food was delicious and we would definitely eat there again.
