Írjon visszajelzéstI was quite disappointed with my sushi tonight. I have been ordering from this restaurant for yrs. and the food has always been good except for tonight. My fish had 4 large pieces of cartilage in it. One piece even had a chunk of skin still attached which made me think I was eating cheek pieces. Of course these pieces weren't found until it was chewing. My teeth are now a bit sore and I hope I didn't fracture them. I probably won't order from here againUp date: I took the cartilage back to the restaurant and after a bit of discussion the replaced 1 of the rolls I had bought the night before. No cartilage this time but I did get a bone in the salmon.
For vegetarian options, try the avocado and mango roll. Parking is available on Shaughnessy St or in the back parking lot. The building is wheelchair accessible on the main floor, and tables can be rearranged for ease of accommodation. If you have dietary restrictions, consider opting for brown rice on your rolls instead of white.
I absolutely adore Hiro Sushi! It is our favorite sushi spot near downtown Port Coquitlam. The service is outstanding, and the sushi rolls are top-notch in quality. Recently, I ordered a salmon don for takeout, and the slices of salmon were thick and incredibly fresh. Their specialty rolls are all equally delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant! Parking is available on the street or in the back lot.
Don't pay attention to the negative reviews for this restaurant. The sushi was affordable, scrumptious, and quickly delivered. The staff were friendly and attentive. We tried the spicy negitoro, twin salmon, and spicy smoked oyster rolls, and they were all delicious with fresh fish. Don't believe the bad reviews, I will definitely return for more!
I love this place. A long standing brick in the wall that makes poco's downtown area ! I remember coming here once during a visit with some friends back before there was even a skytrain station in coquitlam. The prices are on the lower end, and for someone like me who's been slowly priced out of eating their favorite food in the world, 16 dollars for a super filling combo including the tip is like a golden shining beam of hope.I got the avocado roll sushi combo which included an avocado roll, a salmon avocado roll and a tuna avocado roll. They really don't skimp you on food. It was a full meal and some leftovers for later. The rice was Fluffy and seasoned just right, though the amount of rice took away from the flavors of the fish in some bites. The fish was fresh and delicious. The avocado was bright and creamy. It was exactly what I wanted and needed. The workers here are lovely. The woman who helped serve me was kind and accommodating with a lovely smile, even when I had to run back into the store to ask for a few extra napkins. The indoor space gives it this hole in the wall feeling. It's sparsely decorated with basic tables and chairs. Nearly unchanged for over 10 years (atleast to me). The beautiful chalk illustrations that wrap around the ceiling above the counter gives the place beautiful character, and me and my partner admired the beautiful hand drawn artwork while we waited for our food.Between the people, the price, the food and the physical restaurant space that makes me feel like I've stumbled into some secret little gem, I love it here and I'm going to be back to help curb my cravings for my favorite food in the world.
