Mary Brown's Chicken - Port Elgin

We both had the grilled chicken sandwich. We agreed it was quite good with tender, not dry, chicken and a lovely, soft bun. We would order it again.

For the 5th time in last 2-3 months I had to return as they would forget to add one of the ordered items. Today they said it happens with only my orders which made the experience worse. I return only because I like the spicy chicken, otherwise the experience is poor. Most of the time I get home to realize one of the missing sides. So today I waited at the window and dug into the package to see everything is there and the coleslaw was not there. The server apologized and handed me the coleslaw. Also today even the sauce was incorrect.

There was so much grease on the floor that I almost fell. And it wasn't in an isolated area, it was in an entire session, making it very clear that cleaning is not a priority in this place. The soft drink was served without being cold, which was unfortunate.

We went here for lunch and were disappointed. There was a limited menu and the drive-thru menu was hard to read. The chicken and french fries were soggy with grease. One piece of chicken was only have breaded. Overall this place is subpar to the other drive-thru/take-outs nearby. The staff was friendly, and the idea of fried chicken in this area is great. Is only great however with good food.

Went in at 6:30pm and placed a 13 piece Feast. Gentleman behind the counter was working his butt off, but I cannot say the same for the staff in the kitchen. When I unpacked the food at home, I was very disappointed, and this isn't the first time. The chicken was for the most part dried out and what wasn't was soaked in grease. Will not be back and I live in Port Elgin.
