Queenies Bake Shop - Port Hope Canada

I love authentic bakeries where not everything is picture perfect and instagram ready. I want to see authenticity in the product and no shame in slight imperfections. As a baker myself I'm hellbent on taste and quality. The value of the baked goods is more than just what it costs. My favourite items at Queenies are the chocolate croissants. The pastry is not too flaky but the lamination with the dough and butter make it dense and hearty. The chocolate filling is the perfect amount. I've never had a better chocolate croissant in my life. The date squares are gooey without being too rich. Highly recommend their vanilla iced coffee way better than Starbux. I finally got to meet Adam the owner. Outstanding business owner who really cares about the town and his customers. I can't wait to go back and try the sandwiches! The ciabatta buns are made in house! Don't sleep on Queenies if you're hungry.

Everyone loves this place for the desserts but the delicious sandwiches are why I love this place.

Cute little bakery. We went in for soft serve ice cream after seeing the sign out front. The ice cream was gritty, not smooth and creamy like soft serve should be.

Excellent coffee and baked goods in Port Hope. Their date squares are some of the best I’ve ever had!
