Dortoni Port Jeff (formerly La Bonne Boulangerie)

The interior of this restaurant is quite nice, though it’s a bit small. I have fond memories of visiting the Levittown location as a child, and I’m happy to report that this newer spot maintains the same high quality. There’s a cozy little area where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, and the staff is quick and attentive. The prices are reasonable, too. The only downside was that they didn’t have a few items I was hoping for. I would definitely return to try the coffee!

The new owners are definitely different from the previous ones. I ordered gender reveal cupcakes and received old brick muffins instead—clearly past their expiration date! It was supposed to be a happy occasion, but it turned out disappointing. For now, I’ll be returning to the old ShopRite bakery.

The staff is friendly, and the cakes are consistently excellent. This time, I ordered a gluten-free cake for someone with Celiac disease, and it was delicious. However, I have to deduct points because they don't have a parking lot, and the store entrance is not accessible for those with disabilities.

It was absolutely disgusting and embarrassing that I bought pastries to bring to the hospital for the patient and staff to find out it was filled with mold !!! After waiting extremely long for the order to be ready, I was hoping it would at least be fresh . I called to complain and they offered to refund me if I came back down. It's not the point, I'm so embarrassed to be giving these out to people in the hospital.

Not impressed. The cookies were okay. Overpriced. The sandwiches they sold in the refrigerated case were sour. We all had awful upset stomaches afterwards. When I called to let them know, that we all felt ill after eating the sandwiches they took down my information and never got back to me. Even our friends who were with us and got sandwiches complained how sour they were. Not safe. The staff is nice and personable. Hence why I gave them two stars instead of one. I guess they have that going for them. No reason for us to ever go back. Plenty of other bakeries around.
