Please make sure that the owner or the ones taking your order have properly understood your actual need: we had requested vegetarian dumplings but later discovered that they contained shrimps. But besides this minor misunderstanding, the food is just phenomenal... possibly because they make all their recipes on the spot and use fresh ingredients, but overall, the informal setting is highly appreciated.

Correct customer service , well served and quality means quantity

One of the most annoying things about living in Mauritius are the opening (or closing) hours of establishments. Random usually early, our dear feeders provide little in the way of communicating opening times. Panda is different. I hadn’t returned there since pre Covid in 2019 but it has not changed one bit. While most other eateries in the capital were closed, you can bet that Panda will be open. Mind you, it isn’t the cleanest of establishments, the toilet is barely usable but it makes up for it’s sheer tenacity to remain open. If your looking for a cheap Chinese restaurant that you bet will be open don’t mind the more colourful experiences of the island, look no further.

Very good Chinese authentic restaurant in the heart of Chinatown. Wide variety of snacks, food and alcoholic drink. Main restaurant eating area is situated at first floor. Down side is its not so clean. Prices ares proportional to serving size and quality
