Bago Maze And Wine - Port Macquarie

This winery is exceptionally charming! The maze is super fun and the grounds are beautiful. Great if you have kids, even better if you don't (and can avoid other peoples' kids)

It was fun place to visit with kids for sure. We spent 1 hour in the maze finding 5 main characters and 3 gold bars and wasn't easy to find the exit and I had to use one of emergency exits instead exit as we had 6 minutes to go before the closing Planing to how to find the characters and how to get out with kids while walking through the maze was such a fun activity Arriving there before 3 pm is recommended, 2 hours before the closing time.

Unbelievable place! A bit of a hike to get here with a few kms on a gravel road but well worth the trouble. The maze is excellent challenging but not to the point of despair. Staff are very friendly and the cafe serves really good coffee and the scones are not bad either. A must visit

Had a lovely Valentines Day morning here. We thought we would try something different and new to us as we are not really wine drinkers. The staff was great and knowledgeable on the different wines suggested. The experience was awesome to try out 8 different wines which were ok, we just need to get use to the taste more haha... we will definately come back again to try out the other wines we didn't get to select on the menu choices and will bring our kids along for them to run through the maze. We also love how we were able to bring our wines and platter to sit anywhere on the grounds. We sat down at the picnic table over looking the maze. We even had a little willy wagtail bird join us haha

Bago Maze Winery has been the highlight of our entire holiday in Port Macquarie!! The moment you arrive and are greeted by Kate, the sweetest bubbliest soul who makes you feel so welcome, you know the 4km trek up the gravel road was well worth it. Then you have a chance to take in the breathtaking views over the vineyard, the green rolling hills and down to the incredible maze. If you’re heading there for a winery experience with wine tasting a delicious cheese or charcuterie platter, book ahead. Once you arrive you choose the wines for tasting, grab your platter and head off to one of the many tables available on the beautiful grounds. We spent at least 2hrs enjoying our wines and platter whilst being entertained by families going through the maze. Listening to the squeals of delight from the children as they led their parents in circles, was the sweetest experience. Laughing as we watched them become more and more hopelessly lost but then cheering once they finally emerged, successful. Our turn came and we too, provided others with the same entertainment whilst they enjoyed their wine and platter. Walking in circles lost and wondering if we’d end up sleeping in this massive maze. With plenty of laughs and perseverance, we finally emerged successful after 45mins. Exhausted ready to buy a few delicious wines and treats before heading back to our resort. An absolute must do if you’re visiting the area. You won’t be disappointed! Bago, thanks for having us it was an absolute pleasure
