Randolph's On The River - Port Royal

We waited for over half an hour, despite several staff members being aware of our presence. There were actually more staff on the floor than customers. Two different people came out to clear the table next to ours—one of whom was possibly the owner—while completely ignoring us. They wouldn’t even make eye contact. When they eventually attended to a new customer who sat in the booth next to us, we decided to leave. This was our second consecutive disappointing experience here, and there won’t be a third. I’ll only consider returning once I see a "under new management" sign.

Just a short drive from Fredericksburg, this place offers some of the best seafood around! Our group sampled a bit of everything: fried shrimp, crab cakes, Norfolk-style shrimp, boiled shrimp, and catfish bites—all of it was excellent. The sides were great too, especially the twice-baked potatoes paired with fantastic hush puppies. Our server was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and made sure our glasses were never empty. Definitely give it a try! The riverside view is stunning!

It was recommended to us and I 'll recommend it to you!! Atmosphere, service, prices, quality and taste ... all top notch!!! I always make a meal of the appetizers and theirs are awesome. The mussels and baguette, the catfish bites with their dipping sauce ... Loved 'em! My wife got the stuffed shrimp, hush puppies and salad and loved hers too. If you get the chance it won 't disappoint...

This is a fantastic place for authentic seafood! The crab soup, crab dip, and crab cake are absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed, and you can enjoy beautiful views of the river. They also have a full bar! I highly recommend this spot! Here's a photo of my leftovers to-go box!

Crab cakes sandwich was fantastic. Service was fast and very friendly.
