Great Wall - Port Saint Joe

We recently stopped at this restaurant during our visit to PSJ and were impressed by the delicious Chinese cuisine. The restaurant is run by a friendly Chinese family, with the cook being the only one who spoke English. This was a good sign to us that the food would be authentic. We enjoyed the shrimps with lobster sauce and lemon chicken, both of which were very tasty. The egg rolls were a bit on the greasy side. The family clearly works hard together to provide excellent service to their customers.

The food was delicious, but the egg rolls were oversized and tiny. The delivery was fast! So tasty!

This place used to have some of the best Chinese food I've ever eaten, but now it's just average. I used to order Chinese delivery from here every time I vacationed in Florida. The shrimp fried rice was once fantastic, but it's just okay now. If I ever go back, maybe I'll try the buffet.

Good Chinese dinner in Port St Joe. For four tired travelers, good food with a touch of the exotic on the menu black pepper frog legs. The shrimp with black bean sauce was delicious,so were the wok sauteed green beans. Good tea, attentive service. We had generous portions, food fresh and very hot, teapot refreshed. The menu is extensive with many variations hunan, szechuan, mongolian, garlic sauce, black bean, black pepper. A nice surprise!

So So food. We ended up at the Great Wall when we went to a store we had visited in years past. Sadly, the shop was closed so we decided to grab some Chinese food at the restaurant located next door. We wanted something else besides seafood during almost two weeks of eating almost nothing BUT seafood. Should have stuck with the seafood. The food was so so. Nothing stood out, and nothing was horrible. There was plenty of seating, the interior was nothing special. It was your typical Chinese restaurant. There was only two people working but they ran around like crazy taking care of the customers. That is something I appreciate. I may never eat Chinese food while visiting Florida again. If I do, it will be at the Great Wall because of the hard work of the waitress. Not the food.
