Cafe on Prince - Portage la Prairie

AMAZING! The food and service were outstanding. Mark and the staff served delicious food once again.

The Cafe on Prince is privately owned and operated. This shows in the small details that make a visit pleasant. From the Daily Special , the expansive menu to the home made desserts one can very easily leave happy and satisfied!

Looking for a morning coffee and muffin on a drive from Winnipeg to Brandon, we stopped in at the cafe based on good TA reviews. Two small rooms warmly decorated, nicely separated tables, friendly service. Ordered coffee and the daily fresh muffin (triple berry). The coffee was middle of the road. The muffin was greasy with a bit of bitter taste. There was a Wi-Fi sign in the window but the server said they do not have it. Washrooms (common to other businesses in the building) were clean.

The sandwich was so amazing, I HAD to order a second one. The staff were very friendly and the place was very trendy.

Traveling back from Winnipeg we decided to try Cafe on Prince. It was lunch time so it was fairly busy.The wait staff were very welcoming and helpful. I ordered the special(greek burger)with barley, potato, and bacon soup and my wife ordered the mean green (vegetarian) without the ciabatta bun.Service was quick. The soup was tasty but unfortunately not warm. The burger was very good, not greasy with quality beef.Very limited vegetarian menu. The restaurant overall was clean and attractive.
