Taqueria Mazamitla - Portage

My absolute favorite Mexican spot. Their food is incredible, and I'm so excited they finally have Queso dip.

We came here specifically because we were craving pozole and it did not disappoint! The pozole had chunks of meat in it and was delicious. My only complaint is about the toppings. They gave lettuce instead of cabbage and didn’t give cilantro . Otherwise- it was delicious! The tacos were perfect and hit the spot! We will be back!

The food, the atmosphere... the CRANE GAMES! It's all fantastic. We went to catch up with some friends and it was such a great place to do so. The salsa has a [delicious] punch to it, and the food was great. They give you a lot, so you'll definitely have leftovers. I loved the decor and all-around authenticity of everything here. Staff was very friendly, and the service was quick.

We wont be going back. Too many fails lately. Last week just sealed it. We walk in, the Hostess barks an order at us. She literally tried shewing us away like we were cattle saying Table go sit down Had to ask her to clarify 3 times. She pointed across the room said go sit down There was probably 6 customers. She couldn 't take us to a table? At these now drastically inflated prices, good customer service should be priority, as well as good food..When Neither comes close, they will lose customers. The food; how fast far this review has fallen from what I had felt before. The flour tortillas were excellent. Now, very chewy. Beans very pale flavorless, Salsa isn 't even the same...it 's a very odd orange, murky color. Let 's add that they charge for a second serving of salsa chips, which are very small already. The Shrimp is rubbery, with an odd texture flavor. That should be enough. Prices have jumped like the times we are in, but this is not an establishment that is worthy of the higher prices you 'd pay at a nicer, higher quality restaurant. How about service instead of being on your phones as well?
