Yes it’s clean and the building is cute. The menu is overly pretentious with an attempt at signature dishes that just don’t fit. The service is extremely slow. You’re probably going to get your appetizers and entrees at the same time. After waiting a while you would hope to be amazed by the food. Wrong!! You can get better food at a mall. No seasoning, small doses and an awesome inability to reach the flavors that the description announces. Do yourself a favor and drive an extra hour to get your lunch somewhere else.

A Saturday night in Portalegre isn’t exactly giving a vibrant impression , despite that Praça de República was full of people watching futebol. Entering TombaLobos was a creative impression, elegant , playful and with a clear historic feel with its magical vaults. Well trained staff with good advice . Partridge, tripe, artichoke, goat cheese and cherne garupa. Yummy and great presentation on small cast iron dishes . A wine that was fantastic, local with the o buoys name AOC Portalegre from 2018- a hit ! Bravo to the restaurant and its staff
