Írjon visszajelzéstI have eaten at King of the Roll at least 5 times since I moved to Portland last year, and every single time has been an excellent, perhaps even glowing experience. I have never waited to be seated for more than 60 seconds, and the waitresses always are warm and friendly. As atmosphere goes, I would say that it's about average. A nice red paint scheme, proper lighting, and a few decorative plants round out the relaxed vibe quite nicely. On to the food. The quality is excellent, in both taste and presentation. I usually go for sushi, but I did go for a bento box on one of my visits and I was very pleasantly surprised to note that the quantity of food was surprisingly high, particularly for the price. Ah, that's the best part. On one of my visits, a friend and I managed to stuff ourselves (with food to spare) for less than $25 total, including tip, tax, and drinks. The price of the maki rolls range between $2.75 for the excellent vegetarian offerings (amongst which my favorite is the sweet potato roll) and up to $10 for complicated combination plates. Amongst the impressively wide variety of sushi offerings, my favorite would have to be the cooked softshell crab. You must try this if you are there, you will be satisfied. Take it from me. I give it a 5/5, as the food quality is on par with places that are twice as expensive, and the service was top notch. I would always go here over Fuji's or Yosaku, hands down.
They are undoubtedly the best when it comes to sushi rolls. They hold the second spot on my list of favorite sushi places in Portland, primarily due to John's incredible roll creations. The Casco Bay roll is a must-try, along with any special rolls they have. The quality of the fish is excellent, although some pieces seem to be previously frozen rather than completely fresh. It's always a great place to visit, especially in the summer when parking can be a challenge; they have a lot behind Joe’s Smoke Shop. If you're in search of the most innovative rolls in Portland, this is the place to go!
The best sushi in town! I usually get takeout once a week, and the outdoor seating is fantastic. However, I'm not a fan of the indoor atmosphere. Definitely give it a try!
This is my top choice for sushi in Portland. The setting is relaxed and not overly formal, but the quality of the food and service is consistently outstanding. Their specialty rolls are fantastic, and the sushi is always fresh and expertly made. They also have a variety of cooked dishes that are flavorful, making it a great option for anyone hesitant about trying raw seafood.
