Marinepolis Sushi Land - Portland

I had a wonderful experience at this sushi restaurant, where I enjoyed delicious, fresh sushi at an affordable price, all served by attentive and friendly staff in a relaxed, playful atmosphere. I've tried sushi from various places along the West Coast, but this location stands out as exceptionally good. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the quick preparation ensures that every bite is enjoyed at its best. If you have a special request that's not available on the conveyor belt, the staff is more than happy to prepare it for you—just ask! Their fried mackerel is simply outstanding, and I also loved the hand rolls with salmon roe and fatty tuna (negitoro). I highly recommend this spot!

This is a fantastic sushi conveyor belt restaurant! If you visit during off-peak times, the sushi on the track may not be at its best, so it’s a good idea to place orders for freshly made items instead. Don’t miss out on the calamari—it’s truly the best in town!

Eventually, I managed to flag down another waitress to place our order. After waiting for 15 minutes with no food, I had to go find her again to replace the order. To make matters worse, the food was awful, the place felt cramped and unclean, and the manager created a scene by trying to kick us out! There is a moving lane around the sushi bar where customers can pick food, and when I pointed out a funny drawing to my partner, the manager came over and started screaming at me in front of everyone. He wrongly assumed I had put the drawing there and demanded that we leave. This was, without a doubt, the worst service I have ever experienced, with terrible food and an unkempt environment. I will never return.
